The overall theme of AfWASA ICE2025 is “Water and Sanitation for All: A Secure Future for Africa”. With just a few years to the 2030 deadline, three in five Africans, or 411 million people, still lack safely managed drinking water, and only 2 out of the 54 countries are on track to achieve universal basic sanitation.
Safe water and sanitation are critical in shaping and securing Africa’s future. The congress will bring to the forefront the good, practical, and tested – practices and experiences, new knowledge and innovation, collaborations and partnerships, and financing solutions, that will be key to accelerating safe access to safe water and sanitation for all in Africa.
The congress will be solution and innovation-focused and organized according to the following Six Tracks and will address a full range of topics under each track as highlighted below:
